Ava Ballard is a New York City-based dancer, choreographer, performer, and artist. Ava has spent the past decade fulfilling a passion for performing in concert, commercial, and musical theatre settings. At NYU Tisch Dance, she worked closely with Rena Butler, Crystal Pite's company members Jennifer Florentino and Cindy Salgado, Chalvar Monteiro, Doron Perk, and other NYU faculty and student choreographers. She also spent a summer in London at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance working with Boy Blue UK.
Alongside her performance work, Ava has developed her own artistic voice, creating choreography that blends contemporary movement, jazz foundations, and musical theatre performance quality at NYU Tisch Dance Works, Second Avenue Dance Company, and local dance studios. When not on stage, Ava finds inspiration through painting, playing piano, and working out.
